On 5/20/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Pa Dao Vang met with Director, Mariska Jordan, for the purpose of an unannounced complaint inspection regarding the above allegations, which is that the staff did not provide adequate supervision resulting in daycare child being bitten by another child, and the staff do not report incidents to responsible parties. The complaint report was submitted to the regional office on 4/7/2026. Upon arrival, LPA observed 22 preschoolers and 7 infants supervised by 4 staff members at nap time.

On 4/14/2026 and today, LPA Vang conducted inspections, made observations, gathered documentation, and conducted interviews. LPA observed children interacting singing songs with the children, guiding children to rest on their nap mats. LPA also observed staff helping children transitioned from nap to afternoon indoor activities.

Based on the staff, parents, and children’s interviews, there are no concerns regarding the above allegations. In all the areas inspected during the investigation, LPA observed no violations. LPA did not learn of any violations from the interviews.

Therefore, although the alleged violations may have happened or are valid, the preponderance of evidence standard has not been met to fully prove or disprove that they did or did not occur, therefore it is unsubstantiated. There is no deficiency issued today. An exit interview was conducted, a notice of site visit, and appeal rights were provided to Director, Mariska Jordan. Notice of site visit will be posted for 30 consecutive days.
