25 | On Wednesday, 9/2/2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Amanda Sutter met with Licenses Ines Chekkat for the purpose of an unannounced required annual inspection. Upon arrival, LPA observed 19 sleeping preschool children supervised by 2 staff. All individuals subject to criminal background review have obtained a criminal record clearance. The facility hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 6 PM.
LPA toured classroom space and outdoor play areas. LPA observed the following documents are posted: License, Child Personal Rights, Menu, Shared Bathroom Waiver, Shared Outdoor Space Waiver, Earthquake Preparedness checklist, and Emergency Disaster Plan. LPA observed a functional carbon monoxide detector and full 2A10BC fire extinguisher. Cleaning disinfectants and hazardous items are appropriately stored and inaccessible to children. Director stated there are no poisons or firearms on the premises. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, and toileting facilities are in safe, sanitary, and operating condition. The facility provides breakfast, lunch, dinner, and an AM/PM snack.
LPA observed trash bins with tight fitted lids. The facility uses the Brightwheel app as a sign in and out system. Facility has record of conducting fire drills at least every six months. The last fire drill was conducted on 8/25/2026. Playground equipment and surfaces are free of loose or sharp parts. There is sufficient equipment and toys, and shaded areas are supplied by shade cloth. Drinking water is readily available to children both indoors and outdoors. LPA observed children’s personal water bottles, which Licensee stated are filled at the kitchen sink.
LPA observed the child facility roster. Five staff and four children's records were reviewed. Both children’s files and staff files were observed to be complete. All staff present have a current CPR certificate.
