25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Andrea Cortez and Gagandeep Singh met with Applicant Bibi Nafisa Haiat for the purpose of an announced case management increase of capacity inspection. During today’s inspection three minor children and one childcare child was present. Applicant’s daughter provided with translation services. All individuals subject to criminal background review have cleared background checks. Applicant plans to operate Monday-Friday 7:00am-9:00pm.
A health and safety inspection was conducted inside and outside the home. The two-story home consists of an entry room, living room, back living room, kitchen, laundry room, garage, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a fully fenced backyard. The off limits areas include the entire upstairs, and garage. Applicant understands that children may never access these off-limit areas. LPA observed the stairway to have a safety-gate.
Toxic and hazardous items are inaccessible to children and out of reach. LPA advised the applicant that if there are ever any poisons at home, all poisons must be locked with a key lock or combination lock. A functioning dual smoke/carbon monoxide was observed, and a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher was observed. Applicant states there are no weapons in the home. There were no bodies of water.
Applicant has completed the required Preventative Health and Safety course with the Lead Poisoning Prevention training. Current EMSA approved pediatric CPR/First Aid trainings were verified and expires 11/2027. Licensee is exempt from mandated reporter training as it is not offered in their first language.
LPA reviewed with applicant the LIC 311D, Forms/Records to Keep in your Family Child Care Home, children’s forms/records, facility forms/records, and information to be posted. Entrance Checklist was provided to the applicant.
