25 | Application Specialist (AS) Alecia Sifuentes met with Licensee Representative, Rosa Silva-Tichauer for the purpose of an announced pre-licensing change of ownership inspection. Applicant requests an infant license to serve 24 infant children from birth to two years of age. The program will operate Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The granted fire clearance was received on 8/26/2021.
Applicant acknowledges that the following documents must be posted at all times: License, Emergency Disaster Plan, Personal Rights, Parents' Rights Poster, car seat poster, menus, and daily schedule. AS discussed the forms that must be in each child's and each staff member's file. AS provided LIC311A, Safe Sleep in Child Care, Effects of Lead Exposure brochure, Healthy Schools Act survey, and new immunization card. Applicant stated the Infant Needs and Services plans will be kept in the classrooms. The facility will be providing morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack. The Facility will be offering federal food for the families.
INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE:
There are two infant classrooms. AS observed a sufficient amount of equipment, toys, tables, chairs, high chairs, cubbies, napping cots, and eight cribs. Applicant acknowledges there will be a maximum of eight infants under 12 months old, due to available cribs. There is a first aid kit in each of the classrooms. Medications will be stored in the office in a locked box. AS observed cleaning disinfectants are appropriately stored and inaccessible to children. Applicant stated there are no poisons or firearms on the premises. Applicant stated there will be a water pitcher and cups available in the classroom. AS observed a functional carbon monoxide detector in all classrooms. AS observed an electronic sign-in/sign-out system.
