Licensing Program Manager Karyn Guerra (LPM) and Licensing Program Analyst Katy Velazquez (LPA) met with Director Ashley Sanchez (D1) and Assistant Director Halley Wegner (D2) for the purpose of an informal office visit. Also present in the meeting was District Manager Rosy Tichauer (D3) and Regional Compliance Manager Carrie Paldi (D4).

Today's informal meeting was to discuss the repeat Type A citations which were issued on 02/27/2025 and 03/10/2025 regarding the lack of supervision and the repeat Type B citations which were issued on 02/27/2025 and 03/10/2025 regarding the limitations on the license.

D1 stated that they have taken the following steps to maintain compliance:

1. Active Supervision Training was conducted for all staff.

2. D1 and D2 have conducted 1:1 meetings with staff members to review supervision training.

3. D1 made classroom entries inaccessible to prevent co-mingling of age groups.

4. D1 conducted staff changes.

5. Team Leads have been trained to help with supervision of all staff.

LPA and LPM reviewed the facility’s file before the meeting. LPM and LPA provided information regarding the Technical Support Program (TSP), which is a non-enforcement arm of the Community Care Licensing Division offering on site support to licensees and providers. D1 requested that LPA refer the facility for TSP services. LPA discussed using the Department website (ccld.ca.gov) for childcare updates, legislation, forms and regulation information. LPM suggested viewing information videos at www.ccld.childcarevideos.org.

LPA reviewed the report with Director Ashley Sanchez.
