On 04/10/2025, Licensing Program Analyst Katy Velazquez (LPA) conducted an unannounced field visit to deliver the findings for the above allegation. LPA arrived at the Center and disclosed the purpose of the inspection. LPA was granted entrance into the facility. LPA observed 64 preschool aged children being supervised by 8 staff members. LPA accessed Guardian to determine that all required adults were background cleared and associated to the license. LPA met with Director Ashley Sanchez (D1).
Throughout the course of the investigation, LPA conducted physical plant inspections, on-site observations, and interviews. LPA reviewed the facilty's file and collected documentation pertaining to the allegation. It was alleged that a staff member spoke inappropriately to a day care child. Interviews revealed that 04/03/2025 was a new staff member's 2nd day in a clasroom. The staff member attempted to redirect a child by saying, "Do you want to be a bad boy or do you want to come with me?" The new staff member did not raise their voice nor call the child "bad." The facility has provided the staff member with alternative verbage to redirect a preschool child.

Based on interviews, observations, there was not a preponderance of evidence to prove or negate the allegation, therefore the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED. In the areas that were evaluated on 04/10/2025, no deficiencies were cited during today's inspection. An exit interview was conducted with Director Sanchez and Appeal Rights were provided by LPA. A Notice of Site visit was posted by LPA and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
