25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Pedro Solorio and Elizabeth Larios conducted an unannounced case management visittoday and met with licensee Maria Sanchez for the converted garage inspection. LPAs explained the nature of today’s visit to the licensee and toured the main day care area and the attached garage of the home during visit. Present were licensee, assistant Silvia Lopezhernandez and six day care children.
The inspection is in reponse to Licensee's request for day care use within the converted garage. LPAs inspected the garage with the licensee. Based on information provided by the Hollister Fire Department, the converted garage does have clearance for daycare use and the licensee may use that space for childcare. LPAs inspected the garage with the licensee. LPAs reminded licensee that cleaning products, medications, sharp objects, and other items that may pose as a danger to children in care need to be stored inaccessible to them. Sketches were confirmed with layout of new daycare room. Combo fire alarm and carbon monoxide detector was tested and working.
The permit for the garage conversion is on file and a fire clearance for day care was granted in 12/16/2024. Day care children will use the converted garage and the bathroom adjacent to the kitchen area.
Pending approval item: fill hole in wall
Exit interview was conducted, where this report was reviewed with licensee Maria.
