Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Fermin Campos-Jaramillo and Albert Mendoza conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection to the home today. LPAs met with Desiree Valdez. Licensee was providing care to seven children including two infants and five pre-school age children. LPA's observed there were no school age children present. Licenses helper Maria Gutierrez was present and involved with supervising the children. Licensee was explained and she stated understood that she was operating out of ratio and out of compliance.

A type A deficiency was sited today.

LPA discussed the requirements of AB633 to licensee and provided her the AB633 fact sheet and a copy of Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Reports (LIC 9224) and licensee understands the requirements. Upon receipt, licensee shall post and provide copies of this licensing report to parents/guardians of children in care at the facility and to parents/guardians of children newly enrolled at the facility during the next 12 months.


A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS PRINTED AND HANDED TO THE LICENSEE, MUST BE POSTED NEAR THE ENTRANCE TO THE HOME, AND MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 DAYS.

For a Small Family Child Care Home, the maximum number of children for whom care may be provided at any one time, including children under age 10 who reside at the licensee's home, shall be one of the following: (1) Four infants; or
(2) Six children, no more than three of whom may be infants; or (3) More than six and up to eight children, without an additional adult attendant, only if the criteria in Section 1597.44 of the Health and Safety Code are met.

Lincensee shall submit a statement to licnesing prgoram that she understands the ratio compotence no later then 03/20/2025 5:00pm. Also Lincensee will make sure that in absence of the school age children the maximuim number of children should be six.
