25 | Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Deanna Villagrana and Pedro Solorio Gutierrez met with applicant Griselda Larios to conduct an announced pre-licensing inspection to the home today. The adults that reside in the home are the Applicant, her husband and adult son.
Days and hours of operation will be Monday - Friday from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Applicant has completed her Preventative Health and Safety Child Care Training on 07/11/2024 and a copy of the certification is on file. Applicant's CPR and First Aid certifications are current and expire on 06/2026 and completed Mandated Report on 07/03/2024. APPLICANT OWNS THE HOME. Licensee has immunization records on file. Applicant does not have liability insurance and will issue affidavit regarding liability insurance for FCCH.
LPAs toured the indoor and outdoor areas during today's visit. LPAs observed a barricaded fireplace in the home. Off limit areas inside the home: master bedroom/bath, three bedrooms, hallway closet and attached garage. LPAs observed a fully charged 3A40BC fire extinguisher, working smoke and carbon monoxide detector, fenced backyard, and no bodies of water. Off limit areas outdoor: locked storage. Applicant states that there are no weapons in the home. Cleaning Products, toxic agents, medications, and sharp objects were inaccessible to children. LPAs reminded Applicant that smoking, baby walkers, bouncers, jumpers, and similar items are not allowed in Family Child Care Homes.
A review of staff records on 01/13/2025 indicates that all Facility staff or other individuals who require caregiver background checks have received criminal record and child abuse index clearances or exemptions. Griselda Larios was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. |
