32 | LPA did not observe any prohibited or recalled childcare items. There is working telephone service (landline) on the premises. Smoking is prohibited on premises, and firearms/weapons are not allowed or stored on premises. There are no pools, spas or bodies of water on the premises.
Napping: Mats used are maintained in good condition, wiped/cleaned/disinfected (daily) weekly or when soiled. Sufficient mats were available for napping, with bedding stored separately and appropriately. Mats are spaced to have access to a safe walkway; bedding is not in contact with other bedding.
Bathroom: LPA inspected all bathrooms and observed a total of (7 toilets, 7 sinks). The toilets and sinks are age-appropriate and operable. LPA observed that soap, toilet paper, and towels were readily available. The water temperature is appropriate; if hot water (temperature 105 degrees F and 120 degrees F) is available, hand-washing fixtures used by children are not required to deliver hot water.
Food Service: The Preschool does not participate in the elementary lunch program. Parents are responsible for providing breakfast and lunch for their children. Per director the center only provides am, pm snacks. LPA observed allergy lists and menu’s posted in each classroom.
Outdoor: The center utilizes two playgrounds (cement, sand, grass). The outdoor play areas were inspected for health, safety, good repair, and appropriate age equipment. The entire playground is enclosed (chain link, iron fencing) to protect children and to keep them in the outdoor activity area. The facility has one playground area for children ages 2-3, which is separated by an iron fence from the pre-k playground, with a shaded rest area (7 natural trees); free from hazard, holes, broken items, debris, dry grass; cushioning material underneath (sand) and around climbing play equipment (Little Tikes), and swing set. Water is readily available in the form of water fountain. LPA observed one locked storage shed.
Other: Fire/earthquake drills are current (4/22/2026). Fire extinguisher 2A10BC (last served 9/5/25), smoke/carbon monoxide detectors in classroom and fire alarm system are operable. Electrical outlets are inaccessible (plugs). There are no window cords accessible to children. First Aid Kits were observed to be full and accessible (thermometer, bandages, gauze, scissors/tweezers, gloves). LPA observed sign in and out sheets on top of classroom (room #22) counter. Per director, transportation is not provided. A review of medication policy indicated that prescription medication is administered at the facility only with doctor permission on the required center form. Per Director, there are no children requiring IMS currently.
