Restrooms: LPA inspected and observed toilets and sinks working in the restrooms. LPA also observed liquid soap, paper towel, toilet paper, and trash bins with lids. Water temperature is appropriate. The school office is used as an isolation area for children who become ill while in care. The facility maintains a comfortable temperature at all times, first aid supplies (first aid manual/guide, bandages, scissors, tweezers), sign in/out sheets available and completed daily. Smoking is prohibited on the premises, no prohibited child care items observed. Firearms/weapons are not allowed or stored on premises. There is no body of water on the premises.
Sleeping mats/cots were observed during this inspection inside each classroom. Per director Franquez, parents provide the blankets. However, blankets are also provided if the child forgot to bring their own
Outdoor: The facility has playground areas for preschool children. The play areas are made of grass and concrete and have a hip shade structure. Outdoor play equipment was inspected for health, safety, good repair, and age appropriateness. The area was observed to be free of debris, free from hazard, holes, broken items, debris. Water buckets are provided during outdoor plays. Water bottles are carried with the use of carts. LPA observed slides and tricycles. There is also a bicycle path in the play area. No bodies of water were observed. Teacher child ratios were observed, and staff name recorded. Care and supervision was evaluated to determine if the basic needs of children are met and appropriate.
Health Related Services: Per Director Franquez the center does not provide prescription medications to children in care. Children are inspected when they arrive.
The Director stated that they were not providing transportation to preschool children. Parents drop them off at the center.
Food Service: The facility has monthly menu posted on the parent board. The center provides breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks.
Staff/Personnel Records: Designation of Responsibility observed, immunization's, TB clearance, health screening, criminal record statement, statement acknowledging requirement to report suspected child abuse. The director and staff #3 and #6 have current pediatric CPR/First Aid training. The director and the staff have current Mandated Reporter Training. Staff #3 and #6 do not have LIC503. The director was advised to have staff #3 and #6 fill out the form and include the forms in their files.
Facility Records: Electronic Roster. Fire/disaster drills were completed last March 6, 2026.
