32 | Pertinent parties also disclosed that a staff member has worked in the capacity of teacher without the required ECE units on several occasions throughout the 2024 – 2025 school year. It was discovered that a staff member without ECE units was left alone with day care children without direct supervision of a qualified teacher. LPA record reviews of staff qualifications confirmed that a staff member does not have proof of completed ECE units.
Based on interviews with pertinent parties and records obtained throughout the investigation, the department has determined the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the allegation of qualifications is found to be SUBSTANTIATED.

LPA Taityana Benson informed Director Tommie Maciel, that this report dated 02/19/2025 documents a Type A citation which shall be posted for 30 consecutive days as there is an immediate risk to the health, safety, or personal rights of children in care.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days.
Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
Also, LPA Taityana Benson informed the Director Tommie Maciel, to provide a copy of this licensing report dated 02/19/2025 that documents any Type A citation to parents/guardians of all children currently enrolled by the next business day or the next day the children are in care, and to any newly enrolled parents/guardians for 12 months from the date of this report. A signed Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Report LIC 9224, or other written statement, must be placed in the child's file for verification.
An exit interview was conducted, and report was reviewed with Director Tommie Maciel.
