32 | Bathroom: LPA observed the children’s restrooms for safe and sanitary operating conditions with no hazardous materials. Toilet paper, paper towels, and soap made available to children. The toilets and sinks in operable condition. The diaper changing tables were observed to be in safe and sanitary condition. Diapers and wipes organized in individual cubbies labeled with children’s names.
Outdoor/Children’s Play Area: LPA observed the outdoor play area for safety, cleanliness, good repair, age-appropriate toys/equipment, cushioned floors, and shady areas. LPA observed two large play structures anchored to ground and cushioned with wood chips. Children are provided with drinking water via personal water bottles. The outdoor play area enclosed by fencing and gates that remain closed. Per LPA observation, there are no pools/spas/bodies of water on the premises.
File Review: LPA reviewed five staff files. Per record review, one of five staff files included a Mandated Reporter training which expired on 01/2026. Per facility representative, staff member with renew Mandated Reporter training as soon as possible. All other staff files included a current Mandated Reporter training. LPA informed facility representative that all staff must maintain current Mandated Reporter training to be renewed every two years. A Technical Violation issued.
LPA reviewed one child file which included all required documentation. Per record review, last disaster drill completed on 01/2026. Per record review, last lead testing conducted on 03/2023. The sign-in and sign-out sheets observed.

Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
