32 | Kitchen: LPA observed the kitchen for safe and sanitary operating conditions. The kitchen is located behind the lobby/reception area. The facility utilizes outside vender for all food items, food delivery, and menus. All meals and snacks are prepared in the kitchen. Menus were observed. All knives stored in high cabinet made inaccessible to children.
Outdoor/Children’s Play Area: LPA observed age-appropriate toys/equipment, cushioned areas, and shade. The outdoor play area is enclosed by fencing, gates, and bricks walls. LPA observed storage shed (key-locked). Per LPA observation, there are no pools/spas/or bodies of water.
File Review: LPA reviewed two Site Supervisor files, one teacher file, and three children files which included all required documentation. At least one staff member maintained current Pediatric CPR/FA certification. Per record review, last disaster drill completed on 03/2026. Per record review, last lead testing conducted on 12/2025. The sign-in and sign-out sheets were observed. LPA reviewed storage of medication and expiration dates. LPA verified medication was stored properly and labeled.
Other: Per Site Supervisor, smoking is prohibited on the premises. Per Site Supervisor, there are no firearms/weapons stored on premises.

Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1597.16.
