25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Michelle Echeverria made an unannounced visit to the facility. The purpose of the visit was to conduct a required comprehensive annual inspection. LPA met with Administrator, Aveon Popoola and was granted entry to the facility. The facility is an Adult Residential Facility (ARF) vendorized by Inland Regional Center.
The facility is a (4) bedrooms (3) bathrooms home and, with a kitchen, dining area, living room, laundry area, attached garage. LPA was accompanied by Staff, Ausa Tuasina to conduct a general overall inspection, which included, but was not limited to, the following:
Physical Plant: The facility is operating in the capacity approved by Community Care Licensing (CCL). There are no obstructions to indoor and outdoor passageways. The facility is maintained at a comfortable temperature of 73 degrees Fahrenheit. LPA inspected client bedrooms; they are equipped with required furniture such as: mattresses, night stands, storage space, and sufficient lighting. LPA observed that the facility did not have the quantity required of linens available for the clients. Deficiency issued. Bathrooms were clean, and appliances were operating appropriately. LPA observed that the facility did not have supplies necessary of personal care and maintenance of personal hygiene like shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste and body soap. Deficiency issued. LPA observed sufficient furniture and lighting throughout the facility. The hot water temperature tested within regulation at 106 degrees Fahrenheit. The facility is equipped with operating smoke detectors, fire extinguisher and carbon monoxide alarms. Posters such as the license and administrator certificate were posted in a common area. LPA observed the personal rights and visiting policy not posted in the facility. Technical violation issued. Cleaning supplies, toxins, sharps, and other dangerous items were kept inaccessible to clients in care. There was a designated space for client/staff files.
