On January 11, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Calloway made an unannounced inspection to the La Petite Academy. The purpose of the inspection was to deliver findings for the above allegation. LPA met with Director who granted access. LPA observed sixty-five (65) children and nine (9) staff in care.
During the investigation, LPA conducted confidential interviews. Based on the interviews with staff, children, parents, and all parties involved, the evidence was not conclusive if Staff supervision was a result of Child 1 being bullied by other children therefore, the Allegation on Personal Rights is Unsubstantiated, meaning the allegation may have happened or is valid, but there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred.
An exit interview was conducted, and a copy of this report was read, a Notice of Site Visit was provided to Kecia Lovings, Director, at the facility. A Notice of Site Visit must remain posted for 30 days. Removal of posting is subject to a $100 civil penalty.
