25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Zirbes met with Licensee, Pamela Evans, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility for the Required One year inspection. This is a one story home with two bedrooms, one bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, garage and backyard. There is no pool/spa or bodies of water on the premises. Currently living in the home are the Licensee, and Adult 1 (A1). There are zero minor children residing in the home. Upon arrival LPA observed three childcare children in care. Current days and hours of operation are Monday thru Friday, 7:30am-6:00pm.
Physical Plant: Child care is provided in the living room, dining room, kitchen, play room (bedroom 1), bathroom, and backyard. Off limit areas include bedroom 2, and garage. The off limits areas were made inaccessible via locked doors. During this inspection, the home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents/cleaning compounds, medicines and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. Medications were located the bedroom 2, which is off limits. Cleaning products were stored in the cabinet under the kitchen sink. The cabinet was equipped with a child safety lock. Sharp knives were stored in a high kitchen cabinet that was inaccessible to the children in care. Per LPAs record review Fire/earthquake drills was last completed in April 2022. Documentation was maintained and up to date
Safe and age appropriate toys, play equipment and materials were observed. The smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector were tested and found to be in working condition. Fire Extinguisher (2A10BC) was serviced in 2022. Per Licensee no one smokes in the home. Electrical outlets are inaccessible, no baby bouncers saucer chairs, or any recalled and or prohibited toys or sleep/ play equipment were observed on the premises. Per Licensee, the playroom is the designated area for ill children in the child care. LPA observed age appropriate napping equipment (cots) during the inspection. Based on LPAs observation the children nap in the living room of the home.
