25 | On June 25th 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA)Braddock, conducted an unannounced annual Inspection. LPA met with Licensee, TOMIKA HAIRSTON-LANE who guided LPA on a tour of the home. People who reside in the home are (Licensee, Spouse, Adult Child) who are live scanned and have TB skin test on file and minor children (10 and 9). The large family childcare home operates Monday through Friday 6am to Friday 6pm. At the time of the visit there were 1 child present with 1 staff member.
This is a single-story house with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen/dining room, living room, den, laundry room, enclose patio (day care room) and attached garage. Per Licensee the den, 1 bathroom. enclosed patio (day care room) and backyard is utilized for the family childcare areas. Per licensee off-limit areas of the home is the living room, kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, laundry room and attached garage. There is a fireplace located in the family room which is inaccessible to children with a Metal barrier. There is not a swimming pool/body of water on the premises. LPA did observe pets at the facility. LPA observed 4 dogs all fully vaccinated. LPA Observed a 180-gallon saltwater fish tank with a wooden lid enclosure made inaccessible to child by safety locks.
The home was inspected inside for comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation. Medications are stored in the master bedroom inaccessible to children. The kitchen knives are stored laundry room and made inaccessible by key lock. Cleaning compounds are stored laundry room inaccessible to children.
