25 | On January 9, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Calloway conducted an unannounced inspection at the above facility. LPA met with Facility Director for the purpose of an Annual/Random inspection. LPA and the Director toured the facility inside and outside. LPA observed sixteen (16) napping children and three staff present during this inspection. The facility operates from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Physical Plant: The preschool consists of four classrooms. Furniture, toys, books, and equipment were inspected in each classroom and were in good repair. All rooms observed to be clean and safe. Telephone service was observed. Heating, lighting, and ventilation are adequate. There are cubbies with children's names on them for their belongings in each classroom. Drinking water is available inside the classrooms in the form of water pitchers and disposable cups. LPA observed enough mats available for the napping children. The bedding is stored separately and sent home with parents for washing on Fridays. Mats are cleaned at the end of each week. Facility has a surveillance system on the premises and are operable per Director. Fire extinguisher, fire alarm pull, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector were observed to be operable condition. LPA inspected and observed the three bathrooms to be clean, functioning properly and age appropriate. The two- and three-year-old class has a bathroom with two toilets & two sinks between the classrooms, three- & four-year-old class bathroom has two toilets & two sinks, and the Pre-K class bathroom has one toilet and one sink. LPA observed them all to be clean with soap, toilet paper and paper towels readily available for use. Kitchen was observed with refrigerator, microwave, and sink. |
