On January 9, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Calloway conducted an unannounced inspection at the above facility. LPA met with Facility Director for the purpose of an Annual/Random inspection. LPA and the Director toured the facility inside and outside. LPA observed sixteen (16) napping children and three staff present during this inspection. The facility operates from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Physical Plant: The preschool consists of four classrooms. Furniture, toys, books, and equipment were inspected in each classroom and were in good repair. All rooms observed to be clean and safe. Telephone service was observed. Heating, lighting, and ventilation are adequate. There are cubbies with children's names on them for their belongings in each classroom. Drinking water is available inside the classrooms in the form of water pitchers and disposable cups. LPA observed enough mats available for the napping children. The bedding is stored separately and sent home with parents for washing on Fridays. Mats are cleaned at the end of each week. Facility has a surveillance system on the premises and are operable per Director. Fire extinguisher, fire alarm pull, smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector were observed to be operable condition. LPA inspected and observed the three bathrooms to be clean, functioning properly and age appropriate. The two- and three-year-old class has a bathroom with two toilets & two sinks between the classrooms, three- & four-year-old class bathroom has two toilets & two sinks, and the Pre-K class bathroom has one toilet and one sink. LPA observed them all to be clean with soap, toilet paper and paper towels readily available for use. Kitchen was observed with refrigerator, microwave, and sink.

. Knives are kept inaccessible in the freezer. The facility provides morning and afternoon snack. Parent/guardians are to provide lunches, which are stored in the kitchen beside the refrigerator on shelves. Weekly menus are posted in the kitchen. No milk is provided. LPA observed allergy list inside the kitchen posted and an appropriate amount of food and snacks. The chemicals are kept separate from the food, they are in a kitchen cabinet was secured with a safety latch. Unused outlets were covered. Per the Director the two-three-year-old classroom in not in use due to low enrollment.
Outside: Outdoor play equipment was inspected for health, safety, cushioning material, good repair and is age appropriate. There is fencing all around. LPA observed small and large play structures that were anchored in the ground with sand underneath and a grass area for active play. There is also a concrete path for tricycles. The area was observed to be free of debris. There is an area for shade and rest. Drinking water is available in the form of a drinking fountain. Per Director, there are no bodies of water on the premises. LPA did not observe any bodies of water. AC unit was observed not covered. There were two storage sheds that were observed locked with pad locks.
Other: Teacher/child ratios were observed. Fire/earthquake drills are current, and both were conducted 10/24. Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid was observed (Exp. 1/2026). Mandated Reporter training was verified for all staff. Children and staff files were reviewed. Postings were available on the wall. Roster was current and complete with all required information. Children are inspected for illnesses as they arrive. There is a separate area for isolation and care of ill children in the director's office. A review of medication policy indicated that prescription medication is administered and only with parent's written permission. Per Director, the most recent fire inspection was 3/18/2024 and fire extinguishers were inspection 10/8/2024. The sign in and out sheets were reviewed.

The director, assistant director or trained teacher administers medication and documents the dosage, date, and time onto a log. Medications are stored in a lockbox in the refrigerator. Medication is brought and taken home by the parent daily or retained securely, properly labeled, and stored in its original container. This facility does provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. Exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was read, a Notice of Site Visit, and Appeal Rights were provided to Maria Garcia, Director at the facility. A Notice of Site Visit must remain posted for thirty (30) consecutive days. Failure to maintain posting will result in a $100 civil penalty.
