32 | (1) HSC1597.16(a)(1) (1) A licensed child day care center, as defined in Section 1596.76, that is located in a building that was constructed before January 1, 2010, shall have its drinking water tested for lead contamination levels on or after January 1, 2020, but no later than January 1, 2023, and every five years after the date of the initial test. Director was unable to provide any proof of the lead testing taking place and stated they have not received any lead results.
(2) HSC 1596.7995(a)(1) (1) Commencing September 1, 2016, a person shall not be employed or volunteer at a day care center if he or she has not been immunized against influenza, pertussis, and measles. Each employee and volunteer shall receive an influenza vaccination between August 1 and December 1 of each year. Although director was able to show proof of some immunizations, director was unable to provide proof completed immunizations for 3 out of 3 staff.
(3) HSC 1596.8662(b)(1) (1) On or before March 30, 2018, a person who, on January 1, 2018, is a licensed child day care provider, administrator, or employee of a licensed child day care facility shall complete the mandated reporter training provided pursuant to paragraphs (2) and (3) of subdivision (a), and shall complete renewal mandated reporter training every two years following the date on which he or she completed the initial mandated reporter training. Director was unable to show proof of completed Mandated Reporter Training (MRT) for 2 out of 2 staff that were missing it.
Director is given the hard deadline of one week from today- Wednesday, JANUARY 10, 2024 to get LPA a written notice of a scheduled training. Furthermore, by Friday, JANUARY 12, 2024, director agrees to send in something formal stating that the training has taken place. Proof of POC's for the above sections are also due no later than January 10, 2024.
LPA also offered the facility to utilize the training for Technical Support Program (TSP). A written request will need to be given or sent to LPA and the department can get the process started.
Civil Penalties have been assessed during this inspection. Payment is due when billed and the check(s) or money orders shall be made payable to the “California Department of Social Services”. YOU WILL RECEIVE AN INVOICE IN THE MAIL. DO NOT SEND MONEY UNTIL YOU RECEIVE YOUR INVOICE. DO NOT SEND CASH.
A Notice of Site Visit was issued and must be posted in a prominent location for the next 30 days. |
