32 | Pertinent interviews disclosed that they have seen the subject teacher and other teachers patting children on their back, harder than they would usually do. Further, it was also stated that during these moments that were witnessed, the children did not show any signs of distress, discomfort, or pain due to patting.
Several interviews stated that they do not believe the alleged aggressive patting was intentional or with malicious intentions.
Aggressive patting was denied by the subject teacher. Further, the subject teacher stated that they did not harm a child during nap time and that they do pat children to sleep.
Child interviews were conducted. However, LPA and LPM were unable to obtain substantial information pertaining to the allegation from children interviews.
Throughout the course of the investigation, LPA and LPM received conflicting statements.
This agency has investigated the complaint regarding the above allegation. Based on the interviews conducted and documentation collected, the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED. A finding of unsubstantiated means, although the allegations may have happened, or are valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove the allegations occurred.
No deficiencies were cited during this inspection.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days.
Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
