On the above noted date and time, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Diana Brasel conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for decrease in capacity. Upon arrival, LPA met with lead teacher and Facility Representative Danya Sanders-Hester Agent, Early Education. Licensee is requesting to be licensed for 24 preschool children ages 3-5 in the Rocking Horse #1 room. The facility has requested to remove one classroom and decrease from a capacity of 53 children to 24 children. After measuring the classroom on today's visit the room measures for 22 children, an updated LIC 200A was obtained for a requested capacity of 22 preschool children. Days and Hours of operation will be Monday - Friday 7:30am - 3:00pm. The facility has an am and pm session. Present during today’s inspection were (14) children with (2) staff. Appropriate ratios and supervision were observed. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Danya Sanders-Hester that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities.

LPA continued to tour the facility and measured new additional indoor and outdoor activity space. Total indoor activity space measured 787.42, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 22 preschool children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via drinking fountains. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property.

LPA Brasel will obtain the updated needed Fire clearance for the pending decrease from 53 to 22.

LPA observed a total of (4) sinks and (2) toilets available for children’s use. These are sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of (24) children.

The facility currently has a fully fenced playground area. Fencing is chain link, which is at least four feet high. The total square footage for all the outdoor activity space is 7153.41, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity. Shade is provided via a large built in canopy. There are sufficient outdoor age-appropriate toys and play equipment available on the playground. There is a climbing structure on the playground for children ages 2-12, which is properly anchored. There is adequate cushioning in fall zones of climber provided by rubber material. Drinking water is available via children's water bottles and a fountain. LPA observed all hazardous items on the playground to be inaccessible to children. Facility representative Danya Sanders-Hester was reminded that any changes to the facility must be reported to and approved by Community Care Licensing.

No corrections are needed.



The requested decrease from 53 to 22 preschool children ages 3 - 5 years of age in room Rocking Horse will be granted upon a final file review.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.

Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Danya Sanders-Hester Agent, Early Education Director.

LPA Brasel obtained an updated LIC 200A on this date and will update the facilities information.
