25 | On August 6, 2026, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Hanna Cha and Ruby Rosales met with Licensee Shannon Acosta. The purpose of the visit was to conduct an unannounced Annual/Random inspection of the facility. LPAs disclosed the purpose of the inspection to the Licensee and toured the facility. LPAs observed Licensee and assistant providing care to 14 children. LPAs verified criminal record clearances for all adults in the home. The current days and hours of operation are Mondays-Fridays; 6:00am-6:00pm.
Physical Plant/Child Care Area: This is a one-story home with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, toy room, and detached garage. The on-limit areas are the toy room, kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom #1, and backyard. The off-limit areas are all bedrooms, bathroom #2, detached garage, and a portion of the backyard. The off-limit areas made inaccessible via child safety gates and locked doors. LPAs inspected the child care areas for age-appropriate toys/equipment, safety, and good repair. The smoke alarm tested to be in operable condition. The carbon monoxide alarm observed. The kitchen was observed for safety, sanitation, and good repair. Knives, sharp items, and medication stored in cabinet out of reach of children. Licensee participates in the food program and provides all meals during operational hours. The child care bathroom observed for safety, sanitation, and good repair. Children provided with soap, towels, and toilet paper. No hazardous items observed. Per Licensee, there is no smoking in the home.
