25 | On April 9, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Calloway made an unannounced inspection to the above facility for the purpose of conducting a Required Annual Random inspection. LPA met with facility representative (S1) who granted access. LPA and representative toured the facility inside and outside. LPA observed nineteen (19) children in active play and two teachers. The facility operates from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Physical Plant: LPA observed two clean and safe classrooms, telephone service, heating, lighting, and ventilation are adequate. There are cubbies for children's belongings (labeled) in each classroom. Furniture, books, equipment, toys, and materials were age appropriate. Drinking water is available inside the classrooms in the form of water dispensers and labeled cups. Sufficient napping (cots) for children. The bedding is stored separately and per Director, is washed weekly unless otherwise necessary. First Aid Kits were observed in each classroom (locked) on the wall. There is not an Emergency Survival Kit Bin. LPA recommended one be kept per Earthquake Preparedness checklist. Sprinkler system inside the ceiling, surveillance cameras observed, per Director, they are operable. No fire extinguisher, smoke detector, or carbon monoxide detector observed inside the classroom. There is a fire alarm pull switch in the hallway (near the front entrance) Exit doors are labeled. There are four activity cabinets (unlocked) stored with toys and materials. All trash cans have lid. |
