32 | Backyard: The backyard was inspected; The children use the outside backyard for outside play. The backyard is gated all around, wood on left side and back of the home, and Vinyl on the right side of the home. The outdoor play area was observed to have hazards and loose and sharp parts. Per licensee, the backyard will be cleaned up on 8/15/25 and photos will be submitted as proof to licensing. LPA observed a grass and concrete area for active play.
Bodies of water: LPA observed an above-ground pool in the backyard. The Mesh fence is constructed at least five (5) feet high. The bottom of the fence is no more than two (2) inches from the ground. The fence does not obscure the pool from view. LPA observed the gates swing away from the pool, self-close, and have a self-latching device no more than six (6) inches from the top of the gate. The licensee understands and agrees that the swimming pool fencing will remain in place whenever licensed care is provided, so long as the mesh fence makes the swimming pool inaccessible to children, as determined by licensing staff. No items around the perimeter of the fence would allow the fence to be climbable. Pool is empty.
Overnight care: According to the Licensee, overnight care will not be provided.
Off-limit: The front yard, all bedrooms, bathroom #2, living room, kitchen, laundry room and garage(key lock door knob) are inaccessible to the daycare children.
Additional Information: An AC/Heating unit is located on the right side of the home and is inaccessible to children and is covered. The swamp cooler is also inaccessible to children. All unused electrical outlets are plugged and inaccessible to children. The licensee provide breakfast, lunch, and snacks. A required fire extinguisher (2A10BC) was observed in the kitchen mounted to cabinet. It is reading in the green zone, inaccessible to children, and meets standards established by the State Fire Marshal. The fireplace in the family room is screened and inaccessible to children. All window blind cords are secured and inaccessible to children. If a child shows signs of illness, they will be separated from other children and stay in the living room couch near front door entrance. Detergents and cleaning compounds are stored in the garage, out of children’s reach, and medications are kept in an off-limits bedroom. Children will nap under adult supervision in designated areas like the family room. LPA did not observed any mats, playpens or cribs. The home has a working landline and cell phone. Smoke detector and carbon monoxide device located in the family room were tested at 1:10pm and found to be operable. A fully stocked first aid kit, including a first aid manual is present a It is stored in upper shelf of hall closet, it is inaccessible to children. The licensee does provide transportation for the children. They possess a valid California driver's license, vehicle insurance, and vehicle registration. Per the licensee, there are no weapons or firearms at the facility. LPA did not observe any weapons or firearms.
