On the above noted date and time, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Diana Brasel conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for a requested decrease in capacity. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director Stephanie Castro. Licensee is requesting to be licensed for 90 preschool children ages 2-6 years of age in rooms 201, 202, 203, 204, and 206. The facility has requested to remove room 207 from the license and decrease from a capacity of 99 to 90. Days and Hours of operation will be Monday - Friday 6:30am - 5:30pm. Present during today’s inspection were (34) children with (8) staff. Appropriate ratios and supervision were observed. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Stephanie Castro Director that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities.

LPA continued to tour the facility, a census was taken, toilets and sinks were counted. On today's date LPA used previous measurements taken on 09/29/2022 for all current licensed rooms, which included room 207. The new total indoor activity space will not include room 207, there has been no changes made to the indoor activity space. Total indoor activity space measured 4000.72, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 90 preschool children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, cots, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via drinking fountains. Children bring their own water bottles, the facility has filtered water and disposable cups if needed. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children.

The facility is on church property, the church has an outdoor baptismal which is gated and locked.

LPA Brasel will obtain the updated needed Fire clearance for the requested decrease from 99 to 90.
