Kitchen: Home has refrigerator/freezer, and microwave. Per licensee there is no stove. LPA did not observe any chemicals and cleaning solutions during the inspection. Hazardous items, sharp knives and sharp utensils (inaccessible on top cabinet to the left of sink) that can pose danger to children. Per licensee, parents provide the children's meals and snacks.
Bathroom: Children use two (2) bathrooms. The bathrooms have 2 toilets and 1 sink each, no shower/tub. LPA observed the bathrooms, toilets, sinks to be clean, and sanitized. The following are inaccessible: Sharp items, mouthwash, shampoos, body wash, razors, nail polish, etc. LPA observed toilets and faucets to be in operable condition. LPA observed cabinets underneath the sink to be accessible with no items.
Napping: Licensee provides mats, enough for children to nap. No children under two years old in care currently.
Outdoor: The backyard was toured and inspected. The backyard is completely fenced. The yard consists of cement, and rocks/gravel under playing structures for proper playing. LPA observed one slide and ohter climbing structure secure to the ground. There are several trees providing natural shade. A.C. unit is located in the homes rooftop. There is one (1) detached storage unit structure (made inaccessible with key lock).
Advisory/Other: CPR/First Aid, Expires: (8/31/2026). Mandated reporter, Expired: (8/25/2024). LPA will assess one (1) Type B citation, HSC, Section Cited, 1596.8662(b)(1), Section Title: Administration of Child Care Licensing, Regulation/ Statue Language: (1) On or before March 30, 2018, a person who, on January 1, 2018, is a licensed child day care provider, administrator, or employee of a licensed child day care facility shall complete the mandated reporter training provided pursuant to paragraphs (2) and (3) of subdivision (a), and shall complete renewal mandated reporter training every two years following the date on which he or she completed the initial mandated reporter training. Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care. Per licensee, will have mandated reporter certificate updated and will submit proof to LPA by POC due date 6/3/2026.
Electrical outlets (are inaccessible with plastic plugs). There are no window blind cords (Twist handle). The smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are in operable condition. First Aid kit was observed to be full of supplies and tweezer/scissor, readily available. Fire extinguisher (3A40BC) located in kitchen, and fully charged with the needle in the green. Nobody smokes in the home. Per Licensee, transportation is not provided. LPA observe four (4) small pet dogs. Per licensee the dogs interact with children in care, and are vaccinated. |
