25 | On July 16th, 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA)Braddock, conducted an unannounced annual inspection. LPA met with Licensee, Lynda Rios who guided LPA on a tour of the home. People who reside in the home are (Licensee, Spouse, Adult Children) who are live scanned and have TB skin test on file. The large family childcare home operates Monday through Friday 7am to 5pm. At the time of the visit there were 2 children present with 1 staff member.
This is a two-story house with 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, kitchen/dining room, living room, and attached garage. Per Licensee the living room, family room, dining room, kitchen and 1 bathroom is utilized for family childcare activity area. Per licensee off-limit areas of the home are the upstairs 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, backyard, and garage. There is a fireplace located in the family room which is inaccessible to children with a glass barrier locked. LPA observe a swimming pool on the premises with gate swing away from the pool, have a self-latching device. The swimming pool is off limit to childcare children. The door that accesses the pool has a sensor that states “game room window open whenever the sliding door is open”. LPA observed 4 dogs. Licensee states all 4 dogs are vaccinated.
The home was inspected inside for comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating, and ventilation. Medications are stored up high in the cabinet with a safety latch inaccessible to children. The kitchen knives are stored up high in the cabinet. Cleaning compounds are stored in the storage closet under the stairs inaccessible to children by a key lock.
