32 | Bathroom: LPA inspected and observed one school-age bathroom, across from the kitchen. Toilet and sink are functioning properly and are age appropriate. LPA observed soap, toilet paper, seat covers and paper towels readily available. Water temperature is appropriate. No chemicals were observed in the bathroom.
Food Service: There is a clean, fully equipped kitchen (off limits) with refrigerator, freezer, stove, and microwave oven. Food prepared and served in a safe manner, food preparation is completed in the kitchen, cleaning compounds are kept in the supply room (off limits), refrigerator temperature in regulation, menu posted in kitchen and classroom, breakfast, snack and lunch. LPA observed food allergies to be posted. The facility has a clean refrigerator’s/freezer’s and all item’s expiration dates are current. LPA observed food allergies to be posted.
Outdoor: Waiver on file PS and SA children to share the play yard, Separate playground schedule for school-age and preschool children. The entire playground is enclosed (chain link fencing) to protect children and to keep them in the outdoor activity area. The facility has a shaded rest area; free from hazard, holes, broken items, debris, dry grass; cushioning material underneath (sand) and around high climbing play equipment, swings and slide to absorb falls; sandbox inspected daily, free of hazardous items, air conditioning equipment inaccessible (mesh cover). Bicycles, basketball courts, and tetherball courts were observed and in good repair. A water pitcher water dispenser and disposable cups are brought outside during play.
Other: Fire/earthquake drills are current (6/5/2026). Fire extinguisher 2A10BC (last served 3/30/26), smoke/carbon monoxide detectors in classroom and fire alarm system are operable. Electrical outlets are inaccessible. There are no window cords accessible to children. First Aid Kits were observed to be full and accessible (thermometer, bandages, gauze, scissors/tweezers, gloves). LPA observed personnel roster to be current. Per director, transportation is only provided to kindergarten, and school age children.
Posting Requirements: Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty. The parent board was reviewed and has all the required forms posted. The following were observed posted as required: Facility license, Personal Rights (LIC613A), Parent’s Rights Poster (PUB 393L), menus, car seat law (PUB 269), emergency disaster plan, earthquake preparedness checklist.
Staff/Personnel Records: LPA did not review any staff or children files during this visit, as there were no children in care.
