25 | On the above noted date and time, Licensing Program Analyst's (LPA's), Diana Brasel and Griselda Castellon conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for an increase of capacity. Upon arrival, LPA met with Director Jenny Ortiz. Applicant originally requested an increase from 25 preschool children to 33 preschool children. On today's visit they applicant has submitted an updated LIC 200A requesting to increase to 30 preschool children ages 2 through 5 years of age in classrooms #4, #5 and #6 .Hours of operation will be Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm. Present during today’s inspection were 13 children with 3 staff and an Aide. Appropriate ratios and supervision were observed. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Jenny Ortiz that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities.
LPA continued to tour the facility and measured new additional indoor and outdoor activity space. Total indoor activity space measured 1314.49, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 30 children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via fountains and disposable cups.
LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property.
Fire clearance was granted on 09/12/2024.
