32 | Outdoor/Children’s Play Area: LPA inspected the outdoor play space for safety, cleanliness, good repair, age-appropriate toys/equipment, cushioned floors, and shady areas. The outdoor play area includes one large play structure with wood chips as flooring. The large play structure was securely anchored to the ground. There is a concrete area for bikes, a grass area for manipulatives and art, and smaller play structures. Drinking water is provided in a water jug with disposable cups. Per facility representative, water is disposed daily.
Pools/Spa/Bodies of Water: Per LPA observation, there are no pools, spas, or bodies of water at the facility.
The center is located at an apartment complex with an in-ground pool. The pool is maintained by the apartment complex, not the facility. The center is not responsible for the maintenance of the pool. The emergency exit door leading to the apartment complex are equipped with exit alarms which are set off upon exiting. Facility representatives must ensure that exit alarms are in working order during all hours of operation.
Other: Per Site Supervisor, smoking is prohibited on the premises. Per facility representative, there are no firearms/weapons stored on premises. Per recorded documentation, disaster drills last conducted on 03/2026. Last lead testing conducted on 12/2025. The facility provides transportation.
File Review:
LPA reviewed three children files which contained all required information. LPA reviewed three staff files which included all required documentation. LPA verified educational requirements of staff. LPA verified the background clearance of all staff present.

Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
