25 | On August 19th, 2026 at 01:10 pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Evelyn Chacon conducted an unannounced/random inspection. LPA met with licensee’s assistant who stated that Licensee was picking up children and would be back shortly. At 1:35 pm licensee Elvia Wade arrived and LPA advised her on the purpose of the inspection. Licensee provided LPA a tour of the home inside and outside. There were eight (8) children in care at the time of the inspection; two (2) infant aged children and six (6) preschool aged children. LPA verified all adults in the home have been background cleared. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) were discussed, and the licensee confirmed that no children currently require IMS.
Licensee has a two-story house with 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, loft, living room, family room, dining room, kitchen, a laundry room, and a garage. Childcare is provided in the living room, family room, dining room, bedroom #1. Children can access the kitchen, bathroom #1, and backyard. The stairs leading to the second story of the home have a child safety gate which makes the stairs inaccessible to children in care. LPA observed age-appropriate toys and furniture readily accessible inside childcare home. LPA observed bedding in the form of cots/mats and bassinets for children to rest, children bring their own bedding from home. Upon observation there were five (5) preschool aged children sleeping in infant sized bassinets/play cribs. Licensee removed children from their bedding and states preschool aged children will now sleep on cots/mats, a Technical Violation was given. LPA observed all proper posted documents in an accessible area of the home. Licensee stated they do not have firearms, ammo, or bodies of water on the facility. During the tour of the facility, Licensee observed a 2A10BC fire extinguisher within the appropriate range. Fireplace was covered with a glass covering making it inaccessible to children in care. Knives and sharps are located in kitchen in a locked cabinet out of reach of children.
