25 | On Monday, November 4, 2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA)Braddock, conducted an unannounced Annual inspection. LPA met with Licensee, ZAMORA, EORY who guided LPA on a tour of the home. People who reside in the home are (Licensee, Spouse, Adult Children) who are live scanned and have TB skin test on file and minor children (10). The large family childcare home operates Sunday through Saturday 23 hours a day . Licensee was advised that a staff member must always be awake while children are in care (for 23 hour operation). At the time of the visit there were 9 children present with 2 staff members.
This is a two story 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home with kitchen/dining, family room, living room, formal dining room, laundry room and garage (activity room). There is no pool/spa. There two small decorative fountains at the front walkway area. Main care is provided in the living and formal dining rooms (at entrance), family room, and garage (activity room). Children use the bathroom in hallway on the right next to kitchen. Off limit areas include the entire upstairs (Bedroom #1 #2, #3 and #4, bathroom #2 and #3, laundry).
LPA observed 1 dog. Licensee states that the dog is fully vaccinated. LPA also observed 2 rabbits inside an enclosure in the backyard. LPA observed a trampoline in the back yard. The trampoline is off limits. Licensee has a black zip tie connected from the zipper to the springs to ensure that the childcare kids cannot unzip the trampoline. Licensee will provide a declaration regarding the trampoline.
The home was inspected inside for comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation. Medications are stored in the top cabinet inaccessible to children. The kitchen knives are stored under the kitchen sink and made inaccessible by a magnetic lock. Cleaning compounds are stored under the kitchen sink inaccessible to children.
