32 | Bathrooms: LPA inspected the children's bathroom. There is one toilet and one sink, and a changing table. LPA observed soap, toilet paper, and paper towels readily available. LPA observed adequate diapers that were labeled with infants names. Per facility representative, the infant in care has formula and bottles that are supplied daily by their parent. LPA observed the infant’s backpack with formula and bottles. The staff restrooms are in the hallway outside of the classroom near the kitchen.
Kitchen: There is a clean kitchen with refrigerator, freezer, sink, dishwasher, stove, and trash with lid. The facility provides breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks. Menus were posted. LPA did not observe an allergy list. LPA observed an appropriate amount of food and snacks. The chemicals are kept separate from the food. Cleaning supplies are kept in the bathroom on a high shelf.
Outside: Outdoor play equipment was inspected for health, safety, cushioning material, good repair. LPA observed two swings anchored with wood chips underneath. Shade is provided and there is concrete for active play. The playground was observed to be free of debris. Drinking water is available in the form of water dispenser and personal, labeled cups. There are no bodies of water on the premises. There are age-appropriate Little Tykes play toys, bike circle, and cars for active play. LPA observed push walk along toys and recommended removal. There was a trash can with a lid.
Other: Children and staff files were reviewed. There is a fully qualified infant teacher. The smaller infant in care has LIC 9227 form in files that does not indicate if child can roll. Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid (expires 7/2025). Transportation for infants is not provided. The medical policy reviewed. Disaster Drills: Fire drill was current last fire drill was 3/24. Earthquake drill was not current last drill conducted on 2/22. Roster is current. Children are inspected for illnesses as they arrive. If a child is ill, they sit at a small table separate from the other children isolated until the parent can pick up the child. |
