25 | On 10/3/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Carol Heath conducted an unannounced Required annual inspection at the Childress Family Child Care Home. Upon arrival, the LPA met with the licensee’s assistant, Amber Bonato, who guided the LPA on a tour of the facility. According to Amber, the licensee went to drop off the children and would return shortly. Individuals that reside in the home include the Licensee, Licensee’s husband, and two minor children (6,13). Per Guardian, all adults in this facility obtain a criminal record clearance.
This is a large family childcare facility. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. During the inspection, LPA observed 4 childcare children (1 toddler (18 months) and 3 preschools) with her assistant. Per the Licensing Information System, annual facility fees were current. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) were discussed. Per the licensee, she does not have children who need IMS at this time. The home is set up as follows: This is two story home with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry room, front/backyard, detached garage, daycare room. Per Licensee the day care room, and bathroom (downstairs) and a portion of the backyard are utilized for childcare activities. Per licensee off-limit areas of the home are all four bedrooms, two bathrooms (upstairs), kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry room, detached garage and a portion of the backyard. The off-limits areas were inaccessible via key locks on the doors. |
