13 | On October 12, 2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Zirbes conducted a follow-up complaint inspection to Ready Set Grow Learning Services. LPA met with facility representative Norma Torres. The purpose of the inspection was to deliver the finding for the above complaint allegation. Over the course of investigating the allegation regarding the physical plant, LPA conducted confidential interviews with staff, parents and children. In addition, LPA completed a review of the facility records. Confidential interviews confirmed children and staff had received bug bites. However, some of the interviewees could not determine if the bug bites were received at the day care or at another location. LPA reviewed facility records. Per record review, the facility received interior and exterior pest control services on 9.10.22, 8.13.22, 7.9.22. 6.4.22 and 5.7.22. On September 22, 2022 LPA completed a safety inspection of the Center. LPA did not observe pests at the day care. The information obtained over the course of the investigation, revealed inconsistencies regarding if staff did or did not ensure day care was free from pests. Therefore, the allegation is deemed Unsubstantiated at this time. A finding of unsubstantiated means that the allegation may have happened or is valid, but there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred. |
