25 | On 07/26/2024 at 9:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tiffanie Diep met with Licnsee Terry Roseborough for the purpose of an unannounced Plan of Correction (POC) inspection. LPA observed five children present in the home with Licensee and their adult child/assistant (S2).
All individuals subject to a criminal record review have obtained a criminal record clearance. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of five days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
During an annual inspection conducted on 06/24/2024, Licensee was issued five Type B citations as a fire and disaster drill was not conducted within six months from the previous drill, Licensee’s pediatric CPR and first aid certification did not include in-person instruction, records were not maintained for S2 and one child (C4) present, and 15-minute sleeping logs were not completed for C4. During today’s visit, LPA verified a fire and disaster drill was conducted on 07/15/2024 and Licensee’s certification included in-person instruction and expires on 07/20/2026. LPA also verified the required documents for S2 and C4, including completed 15-minute sleeping logs. The deficiencies are cleared effective today, July 26, 2024. POC letters were provided to Licensee.
An exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee, Terry Roseborough. A notice of site visit was given to Licensee and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. |
