32 | The information obtained through relevant individuals in this investigation revealed that staff sometimes yell at the children, by raising their voices at children to prevent children from knocking down items from table and/or from hurting themselves or other children. The loud tone is not intended in a harmful way. Pertinent parties disclosed that a couple of teachers have loud voices but not in a concerning way. Staff will also raise their voice to get the children’s attention when they are being too loud in the classroom or when they are on the playground and it is time to return to the classroom.
Based on information obtained through this investigation conducted, the review of pertinent documentation, due to the inconsistent information, the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED. A finding that the allegation is unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove that the allegation occurred.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Center Coordinator Isabel Gurtis. |
