32 | Licensee does not provide a safe environment for child in care
It was alleged that an adult in the home screams at the daycare children. Interviews with pertinent parties disclosed they do not intentionally yell and/or scream at the children but stated the adults in the home naturally talk loud. It was also noted there have been times when the tone of voice has been raised to speak over the children. Additional interviews with pertinent parties stated the adults sometimes yell to speak over the children during clean up time. However, there was conflicting information as it was also stated there has been yelling in the home but no corroborating details were provided. Although attempts were made, LPA was not granted permission to interview all pertinent parties.
Adult in the home inappropriately speaks to child in care
It was alleged that an adult in the home made an inappropriate comment towards a daycare child. Interviews with pertinent parties disclosed there had been no incidents of inappropriate comments being made toward daycare children. However, there was conflicting information, and although attempts were made, LPA was not granted permission to interview all pertinent parties.
Based on information obtained during this investigation through interviews conducted, the review of pertinent documentation, and after receiving conflicting information, the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED. A finding that the allegation is unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove that the allegation occurred.
