25 | On Tuesday, July 15, 2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA)Braddock, conducted an unannounced annual Inspection. LPA met with Licensee, Rashon Reyes for a tour of the home. People who reside in the home are (Licensee and Ex-Spouse/Business Partner), who are live scanned and have TB skin test on. The large family childcare home operates Monday through Friday 5am to 7pm. Per licensee there are 6 children currently enrolled in the facility. LPA obtained a copy of the facility roster. At the time of the visit there were 0 children and 0 staff present. LPA called licensee who informed LPA that they were at the park on a field trip. Licensee informed LPA that she can come to the facility in 15 minutes and leave the 3 children with a staff member. LPA verified that the staff left at the park with children were CPR certified. Licensee later arrived at the facility to conduct the annual inspection.
This is a one story, 6 bedroom, 3-bathroom home with kitchen/dining, family room, living room, laundry room and garage. Per Licensee bedrooms #1-3, dining room, kitchen, bathroom #1, and side yard is utilized for the family childcare activity area. Per licensee off-limit areas of the home is bedrooms #3-6, bathroom #2-3, backyard, and garage (key lock). Children use the bathroom in the hallway near bedroom #1. The home was inspected inside and out for safety, clean and orderly, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents/cleaning compounds (in the laundry room), and hazardous items (sharp knives in upper kitchen pantry unreachable to day care children) that can pose a danger to children. LPA observed a fireplace in the living room to be fully screened. Safe and age-appropriate toys, play equipment and materials were observed.
