25 | On May 15th 2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA)Braddock, conducted an unannounced annual inspection. Licensee is licensed to provide care and supervision for a Large Family Child Care for the capacity of 14 children. There are currently (7) children enrolled in the family childcare. Present during the time of this inspection is licensee, assistant, spouse and (5) daycare children. Per licensee all adults residing in the home has a Criminal Record Clearance. LPA toured the areas of the home utilized for the Family Child Care to ensure the home is incompliance with Community Care Licensing Title 22 Regulations. The days are hours of operation are Monday -Friday (8am to 4 pm).
This is a single-story house with 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen/dining room, living room. Per Licensee the living room, dining room, kitchen, 1 bathroom and backyard are utilized for the FCCH activity area. Per licensee off-limit areas of the home is the 3 bedrooms. There is not a swimming pool/body of water on the premises. LPA did observe pets at the facility. LPA observed 2 dogs. Per licensee the dogs are fully vaccinated.
The home was inspected inside for comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation. Medications are stored in the master bathroom closet inaccessible to children. The kitchen knives are stored up high in the cabinet inside of a bin and made inaccessible by a safety gate. Cleaning compounds are stored up high in the cabinet inaccessible to children.
The First Aid kit is located next to the diaper changing station inside a locked box inaccessible to children. Per licensee, there are weapons or firearms in the home. The two firearms are in the room inside the closet individually in a lock box. The ammunition is stored outside inside of a locked shed. Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors are in operable condition. The Fire Extinguisher is green, fully charged, and meets the standards of the State Fire Marshal. The licensee’s Pediatric CPR/First Aid expires on 10/2/24. The licensee has the required immunizations against pertussis (TDAP) and measles (MMR) and Influenza. The licensee completed the required Mandated Reporter training on 4/14/26.
