25 | On February 7, 2024 at 09:15 a.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kendal Zirbes conducted an unannounced Plan of Correction (POC) inspection and met with Licensee Linda Brassfield. LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry into the facility by the Licensee. A total of four children were present, three infants, one preschool age child. The Licensee and one assistant was present and providing supervision.
During this inspection, LPA completed a tour of the facility at 09:25 a.m., and observed the following:
1. The bassinet was not present in the licensed space. A play yard was available for the infant to sleep in. 2. The play yard was free of loose items. Per conversation with the Licensee, the Licensee reviewed the Safe Sleep videos. During this inspection, LPA received a written statement from the Licensee declaring the Safe Sleep video was reviewed.
3. The fire extinguisher was serviced in February 2, 2024
4. Per conversation with the Licensee, C2 was not accepted into care. Based on LPA review and conversation with the Licensee, each child present during todays inspection had a child file.
During the inspection LPA and Licensee discussed discuss infant development. LPA observed an infant placed in a Bumbo seat within a play yard. The Bumbo seat did not have a safety strap. LPA advised the Licensee to use the infant equipment in accordance with the manufacturers instructions and only use the Bumbo seat on the floor. Based on LPA record review the citations issued on 1.29.24 were corrected.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Licensee Linda Brassfield. |
