32 | The home was inspected inside and outside for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, hazardous condition. The medicines are kept in kitchen upper cabinet locked. The windows are screened, free of bugs, cracks, and debris.
Inside the Kitchen, the items that can pose a danger to children were made inaccessible with safety latch along with the sharp knives locked in a cabinet above the pantry. Fire and earthquake drills were current; Fire drill was last conducted on: 12/2/24 and the earthquake drill was last conducted on: 12/2/24. The child and parent Roster was current and complete with all required information. The fire extinguisher (2A10BC) was full, and needle was inside the green area. The smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were tested as operable. The fireplace is inside the family room observed screened with a glass covering. The home has central air conditioning and heat. The required postings were present on the parent wall. There is no landline phone, but cell phone.
Off limit areas: Garage, Bedrooms: #1, #2, #3, #4, Bathrooms: #2, and laundry, and outside backyard areas on the right and left.
Outside: The backyard is completely fenced, and the fencing material is in good repair. Per Licensee, there are pets in the home. LPA observed five dogs gated on the left side of the yard. Per Licensee, the pets are vaccinated and do not interact with the day care children. There is a climbing apparatus that is anchored in the ground. There are toys, bikes, and play equipment. Per Licensee, there is no body of water on the premises. LPA did not observe a pool, spa, or body of water on the premises. There is a shaded rest area with tables and chairs. The air conditioning (AC) unit in the yard was observed behind the gate and on the side of the house uncovered. There is artificial grass as cushioning material and concrete. |
