25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Maddox met with Licensee, Krystal Cendejas today for the purpose of conducting a Case Management inspection for a capacity increase. Present today were 7 children, Licensee, and her spouse. This is a two-story home with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, dining area, living room, family room, garage and laundry room. The main area of care is conducted in the living room, children use 1 bathroom located downstairs, and the front yard (licensee states she takes children for daily walks). Today LPA observed 5 dogs present, Licensee states 1 dog belongs to her daughter, dogs are kept in dog cages and separated from children (kept in the family room). LPA verified Licensee has current CPR exp 4/2025 and Mandated Reporter exp 8/2023. Licensee's spouse, Frank Quijada will be her assistant. Frank has a fingerprint clearance, required immunization's, and current CPR (exp 4/2025). Fire Clearance was approved as of 5/19/2023. LPA verified the fire extinguisher is fully charged, the carbon monoxide and smoke detector are operable. LPA inspected the backyard and verified the mesh fencing surrounding the swimming pool is at least 5 ft high, the entrance gate opens away from the pool and there is a spring closure that allows the gate to close automatically once opened. There is a child gate in place on the stairs and between the living room and Kitchen area. Cleaning supplies and sharp knives are kept in a high cabinets in the kitchen. The bathroom is toured and there were no hazardous items were found under the sink cabinet, no medicine cabinet present. Home was found to be incompliance with Title 22 Regulations, capacity increase will be approved and effective Friday, May 26, 2023. |
