25 | On Tuesday, November 26, 2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA)Braddock, conducted an unannounced annual inspection. LPA met with Licensee, Maria Rodriguez who guided LPA on a tour of the home. People who reside in the home are (Licensee, Spouse, assistant and adult child who are live scanned and have TB skin test on file and minor child (12). The large family childcare home operates Sunday through Saturday 6am to 6:30 pm. At the time of the visit there were 6 children present with 3 staff members.
This is a single story 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home with kitchen/dining, and living room. Main care is provided in living room (at entrance). Children use the bathroom adjacent to living room. Off limits areas include Bedroom #1 through #4, bathroom #2, and kitchen. There is a wood burning stove located in the living room which is inaccessible to children with a gate barrier. LPA observed pets at the facility. Licensee states that all 5 dogs are fully vaccinated. There is a chicken coop in the backyard with 29 chickens.
There is a swimming pool/body of water on the premises. Licensee states that The swimming pool is off limits for daycare children. The pool is completely enclosed by a 5 ft metal fence. The pool gate opens away from the body of water. All items rendering the fence climbable are moved away from the fence. The swimming pool fence meets Title 22 Regulations.
At this time, there are no children turning 18.
The home was inspected inside for comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation. Medications are stored on top of the refrigerator inaccessible to children. The kitchen knives are stored in the cabinet on top of stove and made inaccessible to children. Cleaning compounds are stored under the kitchen cabinet inaccessible to children.
