The detergents and cleaning compounds are kept inside the hallway cabinet locked. The medicines are kept in the cabinet above the microwave up high. The windows are screened, free of bugs, cracks, and debris.
Inside the Kitchen, the items that can pose a danger to children were made inaccessible.
with the sharp knives inside a kitchen cabinet to the right of the sink up high. Fire and earthquake drills were conducted; Fire drill was last conducted on 10/23 and is due. The earthquake drill was last conducted on: 6/24 within the six-month time frame. The child and parent Roster was not complete with all the physician’s names and phone numbers. The required fire extinguisher (2A10BC) was full. The smoke detectors were operable the carbon monoxide detectors were not operable and batteries were low. The fireplace is screened, and the home has central AC and heat. The required postings were present on the Parent board. There is no landline phone, but cell phone. The fire alarm pull switch was observed on the wall near the front door. There was not a single action door handle.
Off limit areas: Garage, Bedrooms: #1, #2, #3, and #4, Bathrooms: #2, and laundry area. Two areas in the back yard that are gated.
Outside: The backyard is completely fenced. Pets: LPA observed one small dog. Per Licensee, the dog is vaccinated and interacts with the day care children. There is a round climbing apparatus that is anchored in the ground. There are Little Tyke toys, scooters, cars, and play equipment. LPA did not observe a pool, spa, or large body of water on the premises. There were two water tables one empty the other with soft fabric balls inside. The yard has grass and shaded areas for play. The AC unit in the yard was observed covered with a mesh, breathable cover. |
