25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Babatunde Ibitoye met with Licensee Assistant,who guided the analyst on a facility tour for a Random/Annual inspection. Licensee Cindy Olvera was not present and later arrived. This is a two story home with 4- bedroom, 3- bathroom home with living room,family room, kitchen, dining, laundry room, and garage. There is no pool/or body of water on the premises. Family members residing in the home include four adults (Licensee, licensee mom, adult daughter, adult son) and two minor children. Days/hours of operation Monday through Sunday 23 hours. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. Upon arrival, LPA observed seven children in care with the Licensee Assistant and 1 staff
Physical Plant: The home is clean and orderly, the fireplace is screened, age-appropriate toys and play equipment, a working smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector, and a 2A10BC Fire Extinguisher, no one smokes in the home. There is a designated area for the ill child(ren) as necessary in the playroom at the entrance, no weapon/firearms, facility sketch complete and current. Per licensee living room are be utilized for the Family Child Care (upon entry) ,infant care in (bonus room) ,bathroom 1and backyard. The off-limit areas include Upstairs: Bedroom #1, Bedroom #2, Bedroom #3, Bedroom #4 (Master), Bathroom #2, Bathroom #3, Downstairs: Kitchen, Garage. LPA observed stairs are gated. Garage has a safety knob.
The home is inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, and proper ventilation. There is a landline phone and a cell phone. The home has central heating and air conditioning. All windows have screens and are free of cracks, bugs, and debris. The fireplace was observed in the family room and is covered with glass and safety latch. The kitchen (off limits with gate) was inspected there were no hazardous or dangerous items. All the sharp utensils and knives were stored inside the kitchen cabinet to the right of the stove up high.
