25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Babatunde Ibitoye met with Licensee, Missy Thompson, who guided the analyst on a facility tour for a Annual/Random inspection. This is a two-story home with four (4) bedrooms (upstairs) and five (5) bathrooms, a kitchen, living room, dining room, music studio, game room, laundry room (locked cabinets), and garage. There is no pool/or body of water on the premises. Family members residing in the home include three adults (Licensee, licensee spouse and sister. Days/hours of operation Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 6:am 23 hours. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. Upon arrival, LPA observed 2 children in care with Licensee
Physical Plant: The home is clean and orderly, the fireplace is screened, age-appropriate toys and play equipment, a working smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector, and a 2A10BC Fire Extinguisher, no one smokes in the home. There is a designated area for the ill child(ren) as necessary , no weapon/firearms,LPA did not observe any firearms or weapons, facility sketch complete and current, Per Licensee, the large room addition is utilized for the Family Child Care (on right upon entry), Child Bathroom #1 (at the end of the childcare area to the left off the game room), Child Bathroom #2(Alternate)- in the hallway (left upon front entry- before the day care area. Off Limit Areas: Bedroom #1 Bedroom #2, Bedroom #3, and Bedroom #4 (locked), Kitchen, Bathroom #3, Bathroom #4, and Bathroom #5, Music room (gated), Garage (locked). Outside area behind childcare play area. There is a tree house with ladder inaccessible to the children.There is a working telephone (cell),The home has central AC and heat. There were three AC units on the outer fencing area (inaccessible).
The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents/cleaning compounds (laundry room), medicines (off-limits bedroom), and hazardous items (sharp knives in kitchen cabinet with safety latch) that can pose a danger to children. Fire/earthquake drills were completed and maintained current (08/20/24). Roster complete and maintained current.
