32 | Bathroom: LPA observed childcare bathroom to be in safe and operating condition. Toilet and faucet are in good operable condition. LPA reminded licensee to keep shampoos, mouthwash, razors, toothpaste, and other hazardous items inaccessible to children.
Kitchen: LPA inspected the kitchen for safety, sanitation, and good repair. LPA reminded licensee, if food is brought from the child’s home, the container shall be labeled with the child’s name and properly stored or refrigerated. Licensee currently provides lunch, snacks, and dinner as needed. Per LPA observation, knives and sharp items are made inaccessible with child safety locks.
Outdoor/Children’s Play Area: LPA inspected the outdoor play space for safety, cleanliness, good repair, age-appropriate toys/equipment, cushioned floors, and shady areas. The front yard is used for child care.
Pools/Spa/Bodies of Water: There is a pool on premises. LPA observed pool to be in compliance with Title 22 regulations. LPA observed an access gate that opens away from the pool, with key lock at 60 inches from the ground, enclosure was at least 60 inches tall. At time of inspection, LPA observed the distance from the bottom of the self-closing gate to the ground was 2.5 inches. LPA informed licensee that distance should not exceed 2 inches. Licensee immediately placed dirt to raise ground, to meet the 2 inch requirement. LPA observed gaps of enclosure to be no more than 4 inches, outside surface free of characteristics that could be used as a handhold. Mesh fencing installed in addition to chain-link fence. LPA observed a pool cover, a life ring 24 inches approved by U.S. Coast Guard, and a rescue pole (non-adjustable). Licensee also provided documentation for daily pool inspections. Licensee to store pool gate in file cabinet, located in off-limits area.
Other: First Aid Kit was observed. Per recorded documentation, Fire/Disaster drill completed 8/3/2025.
File Review: LPA reviewed three children files. All children files included all required documents. LPA reviewed Licensee files which included all required documentation. Facility rosters complete and maintained current. Licensee Pediatric CPR/First Aid expires on 03/24/2027. Licensee Mandated Reporter training expires on 11/19/2026.
