25 | On Wednesday, February 5, 2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA’s), (Sherell Braddock and Hanna Cha) conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for a Decrease in capacity from 42 school age children to 30 school age children from the age of 5 years old to 12 years old. The reason for the decrease is due to the facility relinquishing one restroom that is currently being used for the school age children and re-assigning the restroom to the preschool component. Upon arrival, LPA met with Facility Representative Patricia Jacobs and Claudia Garcia. Facility is requesting to be licensed for # 30 (Thirty) school age children in the village/School Age classroom. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 6:30pm. Present during today’s inspection were 0 school age children with (5) staff. Appropriate ratios and supervision were observed. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Patricia Jacobs that staff are required to always maintain direct visual supervision of the children during indoor and outdoor activities.
LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots/mats, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via disposable cups. |
